Josephine LoRe

… a pearl in this diamond world

Josephine LoRe’s words have been spoken on the stage and interpreted through ASL, visual art, music and dance. Her poetry and prose have been published internationally in print and on-line journals and magazines.

She regularly features at venues and poetic events and has published two collections of poetry, Unity and The Cowichan Series. The Cowichan Series was #1 on the Calgary Herald Bestseller’s List in June of 2019.

She has contributed to the Haiku Canada Anthologies since 2016, Autumn Moon Haiku, Ephemerae Haiku in England, and Asahi Haikuist in Japan. She participated in a panel entitled Women Echoing Women at the 2019 Haiku Canada conference in Vancouver, writing and translating into French. Additionally, she is one of the winners of the Setouchi-Matsuyama 2019 International Photo-Haiku Contest. She is currently exploring tanka and has had three pieces accepted for publication in the upcoming issue of GUSTS.
